I have been to the Antler Cafe many times and very pleased. Sorry to say that this visit was awful! There were 3 people in our party. Two ordered the same thing- chicken fried steak, but one was given a whole different meal. The waitress told her that since she wanted brown gravy, this was how the steak was battered. It wasn't even steak, but my friend ate it anyway. The waitress was very absent- minded, and was slow with returning with our requests. We finally had to go up to the checkout to pay, but we had not been given our tickets. It was bad.
I gotta say I have been a server and a shift lead at several places so when I rate places I normally talk about service. I had the best service by a lady named Aubrey not only did she help me find a perfect meal given it was my first time but she gave me pointers and reviews. My food was amazing some of the best food I have had in a long time. This home cooked place with there home made fresh food. I will by far redder this to all my friends from the city to come out where when visiting me. Thank y'all!
Nice hill country style atmosphere. Its a good spot for the entire family. The service started out a little slow but improved as time went by. The chicken fried steak was actually pretty good. However the beer cold be a little colder.
We were greeted and seated immediately. Very attentive hostess and waitress. Our food was delicious. Will come back again.
I real wanted to give a 5 star cause Lisa our waitress was amazing and the food was great. But at first we asked Amber the cashier, how long was the wait and she acted like we were bothering her. LISA MADE UP THE DIFFERENCE IN HER SERVICE AND PLEASANT NATURE.
